Proofreading
Description
Proofreading involves reading print or online documents for errors missed in the editing process, or inadvertently introduced during design and layout, while ensuring overall consistency and accuracy.
I have over 15 years of experience with all sorts of documents – from advertising to websites, textbooks to scholarly monographs – and in different formats: Word, Acrobat (PDF files), or in print, as well as web-based materials.
My proofreading is done meticulously and methodically, using the standard proofreaders' marks and the style guide of your choice.
My expertise applies to English and French texts, and I can ensure consistency in bilingual projects.
I am a member of PEAVI, the Professional Editors Association of Vancouver Island.
